What is this living thing?

This is a coral called Stylophora pistillata. They are from Indo-pacific ranging from the central pacific to Red sea. They were once named the "tramp" spicies of the coral world. This is because to reproduce they attach themselves to floating objects and travel kilometers away. While they are traveling, they grow into colonies, which have been from as all female. Oddly though they posses both male and female reproduction organs.
